Open League

Open league open to everyone with rewards for premium users.

The league is open for 12 hours every day between 12:00 and 0:00 CET

This league features the format: Best of 1 with 1 ban in All Pick mode. The full rules can be found further down on this page.

This league features 1 ban which means each player bans 1 of the 10 classes which their opponent will not be able to play by typing the banned class in your private match lobby chat. The leftmost player in the match starts banning followed by the other player each banning 1 class at a time.

You need to have played a minimum of 15 matches and have a score over 1000 in this league to be eligible for rewards

Premium users will receive prizes for a top 8 finish.

In addition to Riffpoints, the 1st prize is a €20 Battlenet giftcard

How to compete:

• Click "Join league"
• Click “Play Match” (only available when the league is “ongoing”)
• You will shortly be matched with an opponent. Once you get a notification that your match is ready, add each other in the game and play with the given rules of the league.
• After the match is completed, report the outcome of the match and your “League score” will automatically be updated.
• Track your progress in the “league” tab.
• Make sure to take ingame screenshots of all match results in case of a dispute or being requested by an admin.

League rules

• In All Pick mode you are free to pick whatever class and deck you'd like without declaring it to your opponent.

• This league features 1 ban which means each player bans 1 of the 10 classes which their opponent will not be able to play by typing the banned class in your private match lobby chat. The leftmost player in the match starts banning followed by the other player each banning 1 class at a time.

• When you get a match with an opponent you are required to play the game, if you do not show up within 5 minutes or refuse to play, an admin will decide whether the match is cancelled or if a default win is handed out. (frequent abuse by not showing up or delaying matches will result in a warning and ultimately getting banned)

• Picking a class which have been banned will result in a default win for the other player of that game unless the other player agrees to replay.

• If a player is disconnected the opponent can claim a win for that game after 3 minutes have passed, make sure to take a screenshot showing the timer.

• You must not delete your opponent from your friends list until the entire match has been completed.

• If there are ties in league score at the end of the league, win rate will be used as first tie breaker and global ranking score as second to decide the tied positions. If there are still ties after both of these factors have been used, decider matches may be issued.

• Being abusive by spamming, harassing, threatening or insulting other players in chat on Battleriff or ingame is not a tolerated behaviour and will result in (but is not limited to) the following: warnings, deduction of riffpoints, deduction of league points, getting banned. If one player clearly states that they do not want to be engaged by any form of chat messages from the other player (apart from banning classes) this is to be respected by the other player. If you encounter any breach of these rules while taking part in Battleriff matches, take screenshots and contact an admin.

• You are responsible for all the actions taken on your account and only you are allowed to play on your account

• Abusing different glitches, cheats or non intended bugs in-game will disqualify you instantly

• Suspicious player patterns will be investigated and any evidence of abuse such as (but not limited to) win trading, multiple accounts, ghost accounts or match manipulation will disqualify you instantly and can result in a permanent ban

• We reserve all the rights to amend the rules and/or structure of the event at our sole discretion. In the unlikely case of a dispute, we reserve the right to interpret the rules at our sole discretion. Any decisions taken by management in this regard are final.
