Paragon League

Welcome to the Paragon League where you can practice the all new competitive format. This league is open to invited players as well as everyone with a global ranking score of 200+. The total length of the league is 1 week and it is open for 14 hours every day between 11:00 and 01:00 CEST

This league is played in the following format: Best of 3 in Conquest mode featuring a shield phase. The full rules can be found further down on this page.

You need to have played a minimum of 15 matches in this league to be eligible for rewards

League rules

  • Standard mode

  • Best of 3 with 1 ban in Conquest mode featuring a Shield phase

  • Decklists are open

  • All decklists are required to be provided in english only.

  • When you click the button "Add Deck" make sure to upload a deck montage featuring all of your 4 decks in the same image file with all cards clearly visible. Deck montage sample It is recommended to use to create your deck montages.

  • In Conquest mode featuring a shield phase, you need to have 4 decks, each from a unique class.

  • When you get a match with an opponent you can view their decklists. You now shield one of your decks by submitting the 3 classes that will be exposed to banning by using the tool (Each players shielded deck is the one not submitted for banning). At this point 1 of each players classes gets banned and you are left with 3 decks available to play (Your shielded deck + the two decks remaining after the ban).

  • After a player has won with any of their decks they must switch to one of their remaining decks. The first player with 2 game wins has won the match.

  • When you get a match with an opponent you are required to play the match, if you do not show up within 5 minutes or refuse to play, a default win will be handed out to the opponent.

  • Picking a class which have been banned will result in a default win for the other player of that game.

  • In between matches players are free to change their lineups

  • Whizbang the Wonderful & Zayle, Shadow Cloak is not allowed to be used.

  • If a player is disconnected the opponent can claim a win for that match after 3 minutes have passed, make sure to take a screenshot showing the timer.

  • Any matches started before the closing hours of the league or the end of the league itself will count towards your league score once completed.

  • You may stream any of your matches, we suggest doing so with a delay.

  • Battleriff admins / observers may ask to spectate any of your games, in which case you will be contacted by someone with the admin badge and need to accept the request.

  • If there are any ties in league score among the top participants at the end of the league, decider matches will be played to determine the winners.

How to compete:

  • Click “Play Match” (only available when the league is “ongoing” and during the open hours every day)
  • You will shortly be matched with an opponent. Once you get a notification that your match is ready, add each other in the game and play with the given rules.
  • After the match is completed, report the outcome of the match and your “League score” will be updated.
  • Track your progress in the “League” tab.
  • Make sure to take ingame screenshots of all game results in case of a dispute or being requested by an admin.

  • If players are matched in suspicious patterns, Battleriff admins may ask for full replay files or vods and may even decide to cancel or void the matches if deemed necessary.

  • Being abusive by spamming, harassing, threatening or insulting other players in chat on Battleriff or ingame is not a tolerated behaviour and will result in (but is not limited to) the following: warnings, deduction of riffpoints, deduction of league points, permanent ban. If one player clearly states that they do not want to be engaged by any form of chat messages from the other player this is to be respected by the other player. If you encounter any breach of these rules while taking part in Battleriff matches, take screenshots and contact an admin.

  • You are responsible for all the actions taken on your account and only you are allowed to play on your account with the connected battle.tag shown on your player profile.

  • Abusing different glitches, cheats or bugs in-game is not allowed and may disqualify you.

  • Suspicious player patterns will be investigated and any evidence of abuse such as (but not limited to) win trading, multiple accounts, ghost accounts or match manipulation will disqualify you instantly and can result in a permanent ban.

  • Players with less than 15 matches played will be removed from the top leaderboard after the league has finished.

  • We reserve all the rights to amend the rules and/or structure of the event at our sole discretion. In the unlikely case of a dispute, we reserve the right to interpret the rules at our sole discretion. Any decisions taken by management in this regard are final.
